Development time:
- approximately 24 hours
A mock art test, translating a concept piece from Borderlands 2 into an in-game asset. To test the re-usability of the asset, I also built several of the other fire plant concepts with the same meshes and textures, to see how many variants could be completed without needing to create any more assets.
Modeled in 3ds Max, high res detailing done in Zbrush, texturing done in Photoshop and 3D-Coat, scene compositing and material creation in Unreal Engine 4.
Texture Maps used:
- Diffuse
- Roughness/Specular
- Emissive
- Normal
Borderlands concept art created by Matias Tapia (HERE) and Gearbox Software, variant concepts and explorations by me.
